fellas, some people sujested the idea of running an enduro last night and i myself was thinking about having a meet on thr easter weekend.
be aware,it wont be on a Friday night,it will be on a Saturday afternoon
the enduro will start at 3.00 pm on the dot and will go for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
we want your imput on how it will be run.ie number of cars, how many stints they do and for how ever long the stints will be,
the only definant rule is that,There must be atleast ONE (1) novice driver in each team
we are also wondering if the members etc would like to run a proper meet after woulds or even just half a meet,1 final and a heat.
the teams would be hand picked by the commitee or something of the like(maybe a hat draw, you will not choose what team you go in.
we need to know if your in or not,
put your name and suggestions as to how this should be run int his thread please.

I`m in Jonny.
The idea of 1 novice is great and the hat draw for team members will be fair. No disadvantage for anyone.
There probably can be different classes as normal and each clas to run for maybe 1/2 an hour and team members have to run for at least 10min each with 1min for battery change if needed.
The amount fo cars on the track within each class can be unlimited. ( Hard Competition). Say 12 cars max per class.

The recent Ryper onroad enduro ran for (i think) 96 minutes.
Thats 24 minutes each, for 4 cars and 4 drivers. Basically 1 driver drives his car for 24 mins, with the other members of his team doing the battery changes during pitstops etc, repairs, that kind of stuff, the last drier in the team marshalling first.
At 24 mins, driver #2 goes up with their car, #1 marshalls, and the others do pit work.
The first driver up would be the novice, the 2nd would maybe be 2wd stock, the 3rd maybe truck mod, and the 4th a 4wd class. That means every class can compete, and a team has 4 different cars.
Thats how we're considering running it anyway.
Comments, suggestions?

Ryper onroad enduro was 2.4 hours (1/10th 24 hours) and three drivers per team so it was 48 minutes per driver. We did it by getting the driver's to rate their ability on the entry form and these were then divided into three groups and one driver from each group formed the team.
We also just ran 540 and stock motors (you got the choice) and some of the teams were only doing one battery change per stint.
Oh come on Johnny...get a life and spend the day at home eating Easter Eggs not playin RC ;)

Enduro event great idea, you could have one stint truck ,one buggy and one novice, not being able to choose teams would make for a closer more interesting event .Not crazy on the idea of the easter weekend though, there are few enough opportunities to get away with the current racing calender with out including easter

I'm interested but I can not give a rock solid commitment at this stage...sorry, bit topsy turvy at the moment. Sounds like a great idea tho.
Has anyone considered an interclub challenge enduro, maybe as a compliment to an enuro challenge(if there is enough interest)...or has this Idea been raised in the past, only to go down faster than a pair of lead-knickers?

The enduro would be open to all clubs members, not just west coast.
