Hi guys,
Heres my newly completed Subaru Brat that Tamiya have re released http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58384 i didn't go the box art, instead I went metallic blue & also has the chassis, front bull bar, roll bar & wheels chrome plated. I kept the stickers to a minimum as well. When I get some radio gear in it I'll have some action shots for u.
Let me know what u think.
regards
Jak

All the chrome bits I had done at Metallising Australia in Melbourne. They do top work.
Heres where I got mine from http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-Tamiya-Subaru-Brat-2WD-Truck-1-10-RC-58384_W0QQitemZ320092051419QQcategoryZ44022QQcmdZV iewItem I got mine a bit cheaper as I got a couple of the re released vw beetle at the same time. Actually, $200 is probably cheaper then what they were back in 1980 LOL

The chroming is $10 per wheel, but I normally get alot of parts done at once to make it cheaper.

I'm praying they bring out the monster beetle, uses the same chassis so wouldn't be difficult!

is it possible tamiya are running out of ideas so just recycling the old to make some easy dollars ?
Dont get me wrong , their stuff is grouse and sentimental to me and what Jack Rizzo does to them are personally far beyond what Tamiya would think of advertising but it all seems so " Havnt got any new songs lets come out with a best of album "

rumour has it on the Tamiya forums that this will be the next one since it has the same chassis & gearbox as the Brat & Frog. Fingers crossed!

I hope they keep doing it, my parents couldn't afford these for me as a kid ( I had a Nikko Turbo Panther ) I'm hoping for the Wild one & Hot Shot to be re-relased too.
