Well, after crashing the heli the other day I decided to do the alloy upgrade thing. The biggest problem was finding a store locally or even in Australia for that matter that had the parts I wanted. I eventually found such a place in Wembley called Takeoff And Land Australia http://takeoffandland.com.au/ and they do a lot of upgrades for the Twister CP, Medivac, Bell 47, Venom's and Blade CX & CX2 as well as having tons of spares for the bigger size nitro heli's. They also have spare parts for the PicooZ's too.

BTW this heli shouldnt be flown in the wind and the crash occured because I got a small gust of wind and I had to make a choice between a bad landing on the ground or a bad landing into the side of a brand new BMW. I think I made the cheaper choice.

Upgrades include new inner shaft with alloy head/hub, alloy swashplate, alloy lower rotor head and heat sink for the motors. The only down side is the heat sink is for the Twister Medevac which I thought was the same but as I found out the motors are side by side on the Medevac and 90* offset on the Bell 47. So I'm going to have to make some mods to get it to fit the Bell 47 frame or change frames to the Medevac.

Next mod will be the Venom allow rotor plates and blades which will let the blades swivell unlike the fixed blade design of the Twister and Blade heli's.

Ha Ha Ha!!! Sounds like your finding it challenging at least.

I'm hanging out for the day that your hovering it over the track with a wireless camera while we're racing giving us live footage :)

You might need to invest in some plastic blades which I now see tower hobbies is selling the ones JCS make.

The upgrades have made the Bell a lot twitchier (a lot less input required than before) but I dont have to worry about the swashplate falling apart every time I hit the ground to hard and it takes a lot less throttle to get it hovering than before. Well worth the 50 bucks.

So I was delivery bitch yesterday,Made de-tour past that shop.He had nothing for the Twister CP,And proced too imform me he dossent stock parts for the CHEEP helis!! Fair enough,so I had too go into midland to deliver a V6,so into ace hobbys I went. They have a good supply of parts on the shelf for my CHEEP CP,as well as other brands and types of choppers.Anyhoo, seen all the Bling and carbon an just wanted too spend my pay packet Right there and then.

I only got landing skids, but gee I was tempted by the Alloy upgrades. My biggest thing is,Im a CRASHER "learner",and aparently with bthe plastic parts they are either broken after a crash,or they arnt! But the Ally can be bent with no easy way to determin if they are OK to use again.

Oh , and at west coast last night I had a boom strike,as in the CF blades belted the tail boom an split it like Bamboo does,LoL and it bashed the Ping pong ball off again.

So I might just hold off on getting any BLING at the moment, just untill I do more flying than crashing.

He definitately had a few bits up on the left hand side when you walk in and I cant beleive he called your heli CHEEP. Thats just down right nasty, sorry about that.

Ace have always been good for planes but in the past 12 months they have been slowly getting into heli's.

I'm a little disappointed I didnt stick around last night. If I had known I would have gone home to get the camera to strap to your heli or glider :)
