This is where you will find the latest news on the new transponder system for West Coast. The news is accurate if written by a committee member.

Thursday 3rd May update:

New club laptop computer has been purchased and ready to go.

We have received the decoder hardware as this arrived into Australia first. We have not received the transponders.

We are approaching another club to enquire on hiring transponders for this Friday night (3rd may). Unsure if there will be a hire fee to cover the costs but bring an extra $3-$5 just incase.

i thought that the transponders and all that were coming from the eastern states????

They're being sent from Holland.

As it stands (at Friday 5th may) the transponders are due next week. We have access to borrow the set from Ryper Hobbies and we will do our very best to have the system up and running tonight.

EDIT: We will not be running a proper race meet tonight as we will be testing and tuning the transponder system. We will be running some fun racing as we did last Friday.

My guess is no, cause if they did you would of read about it.
Probably gonna borrow transponders again.

The transponders shipped from europe on monday. When they arrive, the news will be posted. We have no way of knowing exactly when they will arrive, but plans are in motion to borrow Rypers if they don't arrive.

15th May update:

West Coast's transponders havent arrived yet but this isnt a worry yet since they are coming all the way from Holland.

can this system do segment times?
it would prob need more loops, but it would be cool to see what bit of track u needed to improve your driving.

unfortunatly you also need seperate decoders, so it makes it a huge expence for very little
