What are you guys doing about a pinion?
If you've got a HS81, are you using a servo saver (which one?), or if not, then how are you attaching it?

Oh, and if you have the ball diff, how does your feel? is it smooth? Mine isnt. It seems too tight and when I loosen it, the diff can start to slip.

I'm yet to sort out pinions for the mamba, (group buy?)
I use an HS-55 servo. well, i havent used it yet, coz im waiting for my mamba. I'm told the HPI micro servo saver fits the servo and is usable for mini-T. through www.one18th.com
not sure about ball diff's yet either. heh

Yeah, I was gonna do the same, but I forgot to tell fullforce to give me the hs55 mounts instead of the regular micro servo mounts. As such, I'm stuck using the HS81mg I bought today.

Justo, for your Fullforce chassis, you need the Fullforce alloy servo mounts......you wont have to do ANY mods to fit it, as far as I've read on one18th.com. Check out fullforce's website to confirm.
With my 3Racing chassis, I have to shave the ears off the servo and attach it with double side tape, just like the standard chassis.

My ball diff feels real smooth, Justo.....make sure yours is assembled and adjusted correctly.
James: I'm definitely up for a group buy!

Yeah, I got the servo mounts.....just what about servo savers?
Im in for a group buy too, if it'll make things cheaper?

LOL!!!!!!!
read your post wrong :P
Well, I'm not even using a servo saver on the HS-81MG..the Losi Mini-T Pro manual says you dont have to use a servo saver on a metal gear servo.
I dont know if thats good or not, but I'll do it anyway cos I cant be bothered searching high and low for a Micro RS4 servo saver, which is apparently a direct fit.

well - unfortunately i couldnt use the heli pinions he had in - they were too big - 2.2mm as to the 2mm that the mamba is.
I did although manage to (somehow) get hold of a pack of 3 GPM Titanium pinions - cost me $25 - (woa) - The bloke in the shop forgot his dremel, and i have nothing to use myself, so i havent been able to file off a flatspot and use it yet :( Might scout round some places today - maybe bunnings?? long shot...we'll see :)
I did notice the set screws dont screw in very well...not impressed bloody pissy lil things i hate it -lol- one of em even cracked as i tried getting it in - just as well it comes with 3 set screws -l-
oh yeah!!! - 13 - 14 and 15 tooth pinions :) i got them from hobbystation - here...
www.hobbystation.com.au
But i actually went into the shop - didnt purchase online - i dunno how well that's actually setup...havent seen it in aaaaages :)
did i miss anything you wanted to know?

See, the problem is you bought GPM stuff......GPM has got to be the worst hop up company in the world, they make absolutely shit parts.....I got GPM ti hinge pins coming for my Mini-T....they cost me nothing so I dont care if they do f**k up.

Now i know why i heard all the smack talk about gpm's stuff, but i needed pinions...its a shame that i smashed the front end off AGAIN on the first jump i made (although it was a pretty large jump and was moving pretty quick)
need spares :(

They're up in Brisbane - Right near the archerfield airport(i think it's archerfield) - Brecknock st if you live round the area :)
They're just about to start up a mini-t racing class - they have a small outdoor and indoor track there :)
