Yep Ive herd of them!!! LoL, Big diffrence in performance riquirments between a glider and prifile foamy bro,I myself, use this method at times Im not sure. bolt the motor to block or somthing you can hold in your hand, then give it full noise. Then I go.....oh yeh, plane weight+motor and batt..11111???@@@### YEH, IT SHOULD FLY. Ha ha

yeah done a bit of research , its equivelent to a .10 size nitro engine so will take up a 2M glider NO WORRIES .
As far as my 3D foamie goes , the reccomended 1 in the manual seems to match this pretty much perfectly , only spec thats out is the motor they recomend is 42grams and this 1 is 59grams but i reckon 17 grams difference i can probably get away with and just balance the battery rearwards bit more to balance it out

LoL.I remember the days when I built a pylon mount for a .10 to put on my QB 1800 glider, still two channel, just ran it full noise with a small tank and tryed not to stress the wing to much.
Hey ya gotta put it in the 3D,Ive been flying myn abit the last couple of days, and as much as I hate the way they fly, they flamin amaze me.
Its realy got me thinking on building my own desine and fixing problems some of the other foamys have.
Like servo placement,Esc cooling, strength in the right places.
One idea Im toying with is a MID mounted motor,VTOL type capability.

Ok , mounted it in my 2 meter glider this morning and took gave it a sttic test and mate , this is more powerfull than the 540 no worries ( mind you im running 11.1V as apposed to the 8.4 it used to run ) .
Prop is a 10 x 5 ( must get a foldable prop though )
I actually found i ran it at 1/4 to half throttle and that was more than enough power . in fact when i full powered , it had soo much torque that it pulled to the left hard but didnt need to go there so backed off back down throtle .
As i said earlier , this is all new to me these outrunners and 1 thing that amazes me is the small physical size of these motors and what they can put out , its amazing .
Ive got a plane with a .46 in it and am going the full conversion to brushless on it . Unfortunalteyl its going to be a $450+ changeover but once ive got it i can throw it in any plane ive got but this is the motor im gonna throw in with a 14.4 and an 80amp speedie :
