Well the third motor has the goods over the other two,now I want a couple more batterys with higher C rating,the speedy and motor were cool after the flight but the pack was pretty warm.
The last couple of outings have throwen me a few curve balls to see if im on my toe's.
the first time I tryed the 3rd motor she was only up for about two seconds and the motor cut due to me drinking when I put it on,and not conecting the motor wire proply, !drunk
This morning was wicked fun and went off without a hitch,but this arvo....
Picture this,a deserted car park (runway) lined with light posts and trees,No real biggy but ya gotta concentrate,then just as Ive pluged in the battery an old timer and his dog turn up,with his mouth going flat chat no less,then another lady and her kid turn up and the barage of questions begin.I thought,sod it, tune out and take off man your running outa light.I line her up and increase the throttel as she moves along,just befor I was about to pull up I put in a bit of rudder too staiten her up and the bloody nose wheel comes shooten off,I heard the nose gear dragen on the hotmix and the prop too and give it a but load of up elevator.She took off thankfully and she flew just like it still had the none wheel and another half inch of prop. :D
Landing had me a bit worried and I could'nt make a desision wether to land with the power on or not,in the end figered the props already gone and the landing should be a tad smother with the power on,the nose gear made that horrible noise and she came to a rest without nosing over. !super
Think Ill replace the glued on washers with proper wheel collers with grub screws.
