Jey Jack , mate you know im a mad fan of your stuff ( although this should have still been red ... lol ) but ive been on to a few chromers down here in Melbourne and apart from 1 not getting back to me , 3 have all told me the same thing , that they have tried chroming RC plastic parts and even some model poarts an the quality has not been that impressive so i can try getting it done at my own risk and will have to pay upfront because of it .
Im just wondering , what are the chromed up pieces like in real life as apposed to what we see in the pix , are there slight blemishes and if their fine , do you coat them or treat them before getting them done .
Thanx mate .
Adam .
PS... Jack , you should rename your self as kingbling
PPS ... Shadow , I think i will go red rooster for lunch today , thanx for the ideas
hehe no probs Adam., anytime.
Yeh, I too like to know the adhesive quality of the chrome job..ie.. does it flake easily?

Be interesting to know if it's a specific type of chroming, or a certain method. If they ever rerelease the monster beetle i'll be doing one of those up for sure!

I use Gary at Matallising Aust. The quality is superb. it is very hard wearing, i have it on most of my runners & it looks & feels like metal. it really is as good as it looks. To give u some idea of cost, it's $10 per wheel, which seems like a lot, BUT, if I was to buy NOS chromed Tamiya wheels they could get up to $150US.

PS, the next one will be red............metallic red.
