Well, after losing a steering tie rod, and me being too lazy right now to make a new one, I went to Perth Model Centre because as far as I knew, they had the part I needed in stock.

They didnt, but I went one better and bought this!

Was 29 bucks which I thought was quite decent, considering its reported that this part removes most of the steering slop present in the Mini-T, as well as being connected by screws rather than balls, it'll never pop off!!!

Mine is slightly different though, instead of an aluminium tie rod, mine comes with a carbon fibre one!! BONUS!!!

I'll be installing it tonight, cant wait to see how it goes!

Its in Murray St, in the old Jim Kidd Sports building :)

Was 29 bucks....RRP is 20 US, so 29 Australian is very decent :)

They just got it in today, they even had to open the carton all the parts came in to get it out for me!

I think its called Perth Hobby Centre....I get confused between Perth RC and Perth Hobby, and I called it the wrong name anyway :P

That's very reasonable. That store has never had anything I wanted except once, and they never wanted to even get in the same ballpark with prices from other stores. Hence, I never go there anymore.

That was an impulse buy, couldnt do anything about that one :P

Now, I dont know whether its the 4 hours sleep I had last nite, or just sheer stupidity, but that part I just bought doesnt fix my problem of a missing steering tie rod......that carbon fibre rod joins the two arms together, but in no way does it connect the servo to the steering!!!!!!

Oh well, I guess I will be making a custom as a temporary solution until they come back into stock.

As for the steering set, its WONDERFUL....no more slop!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very glad I bought it ;)

That's what I heard too....I'm sure there's got to be a way to minimise it though?

Yeah, apparently you can drill or press out the plastic bushes and get miniature bearings for them, from a bearing shop...might have to do it later on :)

I made my servo rod last night too...got a pair of throttle pivot ball cups off a Tamiya TG10, which happen to perfectly fit the Team Losi ones....and I made a turnbuckle out of a high tensile Tamiya screw which had the head cut off.

PERFECT!!! :)

Its even coloured white to match the servo horn!
