DOes anyone know anything about this motor , i want to throw it in my EMaxx on a 4S , just wondering if its going to be quicker than the 2 stocks the emaxx comes with
I have found a video of the motor in a 1:8 buggy but you never know what to believe .

Can get motor for bit under $100 off another forum and i got esc and lipo allready so its a VERY cheap uprgade in my eyes if it goes as hard as it looks

Im gonna grab it , i actually thought of something else to do with it as well which invilves removing the 23cc engine out of a 1:5 and loading it up with this motor and some massive lipos ... hehe

Yeah, I've seen that vid before. That's Aangel off the rcmonster forum's (best site for learning about brushless monster truck and 1/8th setups).
Aangel has since gotten a feigao 8L on 4s (shorter with higher kv than the 9xl) to do a bit over 60mph in his 1/8th drag buggy.
The 9xl is a good budget priced motor to use on 4s. Will have a lot more torque than the stock titan motors. Since it won't be revving that high on 4s, stock gearing won't be a lot faster in top end, but acceleration will be. I'd start with stock gearing and if temps on everything are ok and you want more speed gear it up a bit. The 9xl will have enough torque to handle it.
This calculator was made by an rcmonster member, and is very helpful for working out gearing and top speeds. http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_top_speed.html
Most of the feigao XL motors have a 5mm shaft (stock motors are 1/8 shafts - 3.175mm) so you may need to get some 5mm pinions.
Welcome to brushless e-maxx world.
Oh and Maxd out has a 1940 7t hi-amp. It's shorter than a feigao xl. I have a neu 1515 2.5d (1700kv) on 5s, and tested it on 6s.
*edit* Don't know why that link isn't working. Copy and paste it, then delete the <i> in the middle, should work then.
