OK, so finally got my Mamba 8000 brushless and changed all my plugs and installed it. Took it out for a quick test spin. Crap. That's all I can say. It was slow off the mark, built up some nice speed, but had no power to do anythign fun. I changed the battery to a fresh one and had similar results.
Fair enough, my batteries are pretty shit. I'm getting some KANs and GPs when I can. I hope it starts pullin wheelies otherwise I'll be pretty disappointed.
Anyway, was doing a couple hi-speed runs up the driveway here. It does actually end up going pretty fast (just not quickly). I ran straight into a kerb and did this....

The bumper broke off and stripped all the screw heads off! Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this???
Luckily, the bumper survied too, after all, it's made out of titanium.

I will have to test the brushless properly when I can get some decent batteries cos so far I am not impressed.

Oh shit man, thats not good! :(
Best way to do it is to drill a small hole in each screw, and get an easy out tool...its basically a reverse thread which you screw in, and the screw comes out.
If not, u can slot the screws with a dremel and get em out with a flathead screwdriver, but you'll mark the aluminium around it...you wont see it once the bumper is on, but its still undesirable.
My Mini-T is vicious with the GP 6 cell pack...and has no cogging! Its definitely worth getting some good quality packs for a good quality motor.
What pinion were you running??

I think my pinion is a 14T. I also got the spur gear pack so I could try the smaller spur. But I'll have to wait for some new batteries cos it's got absolutely no guts at the moment.
I dont think I can drill a hole that small....not to mention I don't have a drill. Fuggit, I'll have to order some new parts and maybe some titanium screws.

I got a drill bit that small if you need a hand, but I dont have an easy out, let alone one that small..

Thanks mate, I'll run it as it is for a while until something else goes worng. It's all held together still, just no bumper.
On a good note, I charged my Losi battery up proper and tried that cos it's got thicker wire than my other pack. Made a big difference! Truck is stil a bit slow to take off, but after a couple feet, it flies!
The big problem im having now is that the battery runs out after about a minute and then its back to crap...
Bought some KAN cells from RMS just then, go to solder them together and find my bloody soldering iron doesn't work anymore!

Oh it's been a great day ;)
I araldite'd the bumper back on...I figure it's better than not having it there. Plus I wanted to do it purely for cosmetic reasons.
