I finally got my hands on a 959. massive thanks to Daren who sold it to me. It looks as though it only been used a few times, there are no scratches underneath, wheels & tyres don't have a mark on them, the body is in great condition, although I will be replacing the red & gold stripe stickers as they seemed to have perished over time. it came complete with the box, controller, manual, new wheels & slicks & parts manual.
All I have done to it is repaint the drivers, install bearings in the outer axles & put a standard Tamiya ESC in place of the mechanical setup. I also put oil in the shocks as there was none.
I had my first drive of it today, it hammers! It will be it's last though I think, it's too good to drive all the time, I even put 2 layers of black contact underneath so as not to scratch it up. Worked a treat! it's now been cleaned & detailed & put on the shelf. It has a good home!
Enjoy the pics.
regards
Jak

it comes with a Tamiya Technigold motor, it's 21 turn from memory. it's probably the most sought after vintage motor they ever made.
Second hand motors can go for close to $100 alone
