Hey everyone,
If you've got a Mamba and your using the stock plastic pinions, be CAREFUL when pressing them onto the shaft.
I did one last night, and now I have about 2-2.5mm of shaft movement in and out of the motor. Before, it didnt have more than about 1mm of shaft movement.
I was worried, until I did some reading and found someone on one18th.com did the same thing. Shawn from Castle Creations replied in that thread and said it wasnt going to be a problem at all, but just to be careful in the future when putting the pinions on.
I tested my motor out, whilst pushing on the shaft, and it doesnt make any noise....and it still goes oh so hard with no ill effect ;)
Also, the shaft doesnt move at all once the motor is attached and the gear mesh is set. In fact, it doesnt move at all even when the motor is out, unless your pressing on it!
So just thought I'd post a warning before anyone does the same thing :)
