Last night I fitted my new mamba 6.8k to my STOCK mini-T.

ITs so damn stock, all it has is oil shocks.

So it's spec now is :

Mini-T with oil shocks
HS-55 servo
JR RS310 FM reciever
Mamba 25 + 6800 motor

This mini-T still has plastic bushes (not bearings), stock diff, shafts, turnbuckles, the lot.

I quickly fitted the stock plastic pinion to the mamba, backwards, as Balistc did (says it doesn't come off as easy)

Soldered DEANS connectors onto the ESC and my only nimh battery.

my battery came with my 'T' as a deal from model flight. it's a shrink wrapped 6-cell 2/3a 11mah pack with "team losi australia" stamped on it. It's NOT a losi battery.

When I first put it all in and ran it, i picked it up off the ground and hit the throttle, fwah! the tyres just ballooned up! hardcore!

I put it on the ground and very little happened. boring.

I then charged the battery, it's been sitting uncharged for a couple of months.

put it in the 'T' and had a run, holy crap! I had it on the tiles in the house, it just slid around everywhere, insane.

this morning took it outside on the wet grass and it just cut sick! It didnt wheel stand at all, probably coz of the wet lawn, very slippery.

This was all setup out of the box, no tweaking of the mamba. I've only read the instructions on how to throttle and brake tune. that is all.

So when I get a chance, maybe 2nite, I will do some "tuning" for now it seems fine.

Also note this 'T' has no slipper at all. which is probably a bad idea.

I think next mods will be bearings, turnbuckles, slipper and diff.

I'm sure I'll snap the turnbuckles as soon as I take it to ryper to get some AIR. All I want is AIR, i love the look and feel of r/c gracefully pulling off the perfect jump, especially on 'doubles' or 'table tops'. it's just so sweet. this is why I love racing over bashing. the ability to pull of the most sweet jump's in a competition environment! hehe

more soon!

I read about someone running a mamba with bushings...melted them til he had a new toe in setting :D

Good to hear it's all working good for you! I think I have the same battery. I didn't think it was actually Losi!
