One for the computer guys

A quick question for the computer guys on here.

I want to add more ram to my sister's laptop (512Mb ram and Vista just don't go together). My question is should I be using two similar sizes of ram in the two slots (2x512Mb) or can I add a new 1Gb module to the existing 521Mb module?

To my knowledge its always best to match the modules
but it also depends on what the board supports as well :)

it will work.

but check the configurator on Kingston.com. input make/model and it will tell you info.

It's usually only a problem it the modules have a huge size difference, ie 128MB + 2GB
