View Full Version : need to drift!!!!

im not usure if anyone's noticed but there has been a major lack in the perth drift scene as of late.
i propose we scout various carparks and try to set up something of a weekly drift meet. one week at one drifters carpark the next at someone elses.
i know it's hard to work around jobs and prior engagements but if it's almost a weekly thing or fortnightly event then i think there might be more sense of commitment to the rcdrift cause.
some form of planned day woud be awesome. drift then bbq at nearest willing house or something.
i wish a council would just give us a massive concrete slab or something but untill that happens the next best thing is carparks and hosepipes.
if anyone knows of an empty parking lot we can use regularly then please post it in this thread.
i will try and organise at least a small group of drifters to check out whichever parking lots are viable. anyone else tracking this thread is welcome to come too
when it comes to drifting the more the merrier
also it might be an idea to post ur frequency
frequnecy hassles are more annoying than security and noisy hoons

Beeliar primary school has a mint undercover quadrangle/concrete area. looks like it's used for their canteen and other school assemblies, etc. Celipa and I drifted there not too long ago, got pics and vids of it too. was good.

The last meet we had was so much fun even with only 5 people. The difference though was that we had laid out a track to follow and while it looked ordinary...it was all good.
that is till the solder melted off my speedie!!!
no offense intended... but why take over a purposefull thread with random chatter about mini-T stuff... I think you know what i mean!!!

Just kidding around man....only two posts and no intention of taking over the thread :)
RC_King- I'm sure James (or someone?) has uploaded the vids already to the gallery, cos I've seen them and it looked like fun!

Hey you guys know I'm up for driftin anytime any place, the venue is the hard part. I think a fortnightly event would be best, it gives people the chance to fix broken cars and also keep the other half happy if you know what I mean. A small track made from hose like we did last week was cool and we do this at any carpark so maybe each fornight we can use a carpark close to each member and rotate around till we find the perfect place.
PS. I'm actually racing at ryper on Sunday so no drifting this weekend.

found a place with a nice empty parking lot on my way home sunday morning.
it's off manning road a couple mins drive toward the freeway from curtin uni, right opposite elderfeild st.
more for huge sweeping drifts cos there concrete curbs around the trees which are regular spaced throughout the entire parking lot
i only saw for like 4 seconds but seemed pretty good
furniture spot parking lot in cannington never seems to be too busy and there are basketball courts in mills park sporting complex which no one seems to use, ever!
the bonus is that it's out of the sight of passing motorists so if u dun feel like being disturbed and are willing to bring track markers (AKA garden hose) then that should be a sweet place to drift. once again no shade and no lighting but it's cooling down abit now so daytime shouldn't be so bad.

Ok how about Easter Monday, we should all have a day off and If anyone wants to you can come to my house after for a bbq, this gives a week for people to commit themselves. I'm open for suggestions where it should be held, maybe that carpark spindevil was talking about.
