I was just wondering if a brushed motor was faster than an equivalent brushless motor in torque and top end speed.

errr...your dreaming.
As we have proved at the track on the odd occasion, off the line brushed will beat brushless...brushless wins in the pits though.
I think the question is funny because it asks about an equivalent motor...but if it is equivalent, it is equivalent. !2clap

I meant like a 5.5t brushless motor and a 9t brushed motor. The equivalant turn, not power

Do you think you could manage either?

5.5 is probably closer to a 7-8 turn anyway and in theory the brushless will generate more torque.

Yeh, I meant like the different type of magnets rotors etc.
