Wow I just got home from my first race meeting at Ryper, it was awesome fun. I ran in the TT-01 class, I gradually got better as the day went on, I still finnished last in 3 out of 4 races but I was lapping less than a second off the leader. I noticed consistency is the main thing, some laps I would get every corner right, then other laps I would stuff them all up. I recon it's pretty good value for $8, I'll deffinatly be racing again very soon. If anyone else is interested in racing let me know.

yeh it's a nice on-road track, a little technical too. tops. become a member for $50 and get half price track cost, plus 5% to 20% off shop parts... :)

Went there and watched a few races...some of those race guys are hard core!

Couldnt use the Mini-T track because of frequency clash, but oh well :)

any restriction on motors etc?
i have a feeling i would suck anyway, and considering i could prolly beat my dad's falcon in a drag against my tt01 for about 10 metres or so, thats sucking pretty bad

yeah there are restrictions for the TT01 class, you can only use the silver can motor or the sports tuned. You must race on rubber tyres and only use batteries up to 2400. I use the sticks to race get more control I believe.

no restrictions on gearing tho?!
could be interesting

crappy stock motors

i guss my car is right out for now
i have suspension issues anyway

have u tried heat-sinking ur stock motor or anything

and 2400 is kinda crap considering i only have 3300 batts

Doh great first post. Miss read the question, 24mm wheels for rubber, and max 26mm for foams I believe.

yeah thats right but you can use 26mm for rubber if you want, but Rypers track is tight so 24mm work the best.
