Im with optus and running cable and ive been going VIdeo PODCAST STUPID this week but i think ive been shaped .

Does anyone know how to check your downloads and when your month is up and go back to normal speed on their website

Ring them and hurl some abuse!
I know with IInet I can download some app that sits on the side of Vista (gadget thingo?) so that gives me a realtime update.

if you hop onto their web site you should be able to get in to your account if not you will have to ring them and ask for them to set this uo for you so you can check it yourself then you can view your internet use when ever you like

it will test your upload and download speed. for cable you should be at least a few hundred kilobytes per second... anything under 100k and I would say you're shaped.

Im happy with optus cable and have been for over 5 years ive had it so wont be changing only upgrading the package i think
