I haven't received my wheelie bar yet, but I think I will post now and say STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!

I placed my order for a wheelie bar and it seemed to go through fine. After a few days, I noticed elsewhere on their site that they ask international customers to email them first for shipping costs as the way it's setup, they only charge a flat rate initially.

It took about 4 days to get a response (and a week for a previous question I had forgotten I even asked) regarding this. I was told that my item was shipped "a couple" weeks ago and I should expect it soon. How the hell could the have shipped it a couple weeks ago if I had only ordered it 5 days prior??!! They didn't even mention anything about me not paying enough postage.

Anyway, checked my credit card statement a couple days ago to find this...
ESP MFG MIDWESTMINI GENOA CITY WI $153.12

This amount has been converted from US$119.

I emailed them twice now in regards to this with no response.

So here's a hint guys, if you're after a bumper or wheelie bar for your mini-t, don't get it from here! If you have to get an ESP one, get it through Tower instead as they stock it.

~:(

The wheelie bar costs US$24.95 and the shipping I got invoiced for was US$6.95, so US$31.90 total. I have absolutely no idea how they managed to charge me US$119 for this!

I noticed I also have another transaction from them for $0.38 but don't know what to make of it??

That may be....but they've charged me US$119 for the wheelie bar already when it's only worth $24.95.

I haven't bothered calling my credit card company cos I know what they'll say. They'll either tell me I have to wait a week for the transaction to complete so they can get more information, or to contact the site I am dealing with (which is proving difficult).

I've found their phone number, but shit, I shouldn't have to make friggin international calls for this crap.

Strange that everytime I post on one18th that I'm having a problem, I get a reply the next day from that company... I guess they scan those boards and don't like the bad publicity.

I got a "I don't know how that happened" email. I have to wait for the item to arrive and check the invoice.....wankers

Thank f**k it's been supposedly sorted out. ESP finally started emailing me regularly (via a different email address from their usual one). I guess they're not that organised.

Apparantly, my payment was switched with a nother dude from france. I, and they, have no idea how shit like this happens. They credited my account with the difference. I should have charged them a weeks worth of interest....

The funny thing is, now I run slicks with heavier aluminium rims onroad, my mini-t doesn't really wheelie, so I have not much use for the wheelie bar!

Hopefully, I get the french guys stuff....it's worth $120, I could sell it!

Yeah, that's probably it. I'll just be happy to get it and forget about this whole experience

Hey, you can always sell me the wheelie bar if its of no use to you ;)

i believe the $0.38 cent charge was something related to international exchanges or something to the like - not totally sure, but have a feeling :)

Finally got my wheelie bar yesterday. ESP refunded me the $100+ difference so I'm happy.

The US$30 charge was what ESP charged me for the wheelie bar. If they hadn't made the other mistake of charging someone elses order to me, I would have had a very cheap purchase ;)
