Just wondering if it's safe to set my charger to try charge my 1100 NiMHs to, say, 1200Mah?
I've just noticed that everytime I charge it it reaches the 1100 limit and stops, suggesting to me that I might be able to get more charge in them if I let it charge for longer?
what make/model of charger have you got?
i have an LRP Pulsar and it uses peak detection so it only cuts off when the battery is fully peaked. the 3000mah batterys go up and over 3000, and 3300's go up and over 3300.
does your charger show voltage during the charge? voltage is what is used to detect when the battery is peaked. the cheap mans way to do it is stick a voltimeter up its arse and watch for volts dropping.
im writing too much.
yes, 1200mah for a 1100 battery should be fine mate.

It's a Sun-Ji Chargetronic. You set the batt type, Mah of the batt, the delta peak limit, and the charge rate then let it go do it's thing.
During charging, it shows the charge rate, Mah count, time, and I think input and output voltage.
So, I guess I'll just try upping the Mah number and let the peak detection stop the charge?

Leave it at 1100mAh and set the peak detection to 6mV/C
Don't charge any higher than 1amp.

That's what I have it set at, but it always seems to reach the 1100 mark and shut off before it gets peak detected and shut off.
