A consultant for maccas that i work with was reminissing about the old HOT SHOT he played with as a kid , he tells me he still has it in his shed and is looking to sell it if he could find a buyer .
What would 1 of these things sell for :?

Not all that old but it is a real odd ball one and hard to find.. Ive recently grabbed this TR-15T off ebay, in mint condition and not a scratch. It turned up today with its bx and manuals.

Mic 68 scored one of those TR15's several years ago.It was sitting on a shelf in Cash converters in brand new condition. They wanted $450 dollars for it.We told the guy that we only wanted the car as the radio gear was of no use to us so he kept the $20 Sanwa radio transmitter leaving the servos and reciever in the car and knocked $250 off the price.
We just smiled Mic handed over $200 and quitely walked out the door with it.

Actually all jokes asside King , ill be honest to say dad bought me my first rc car at age 5 for my bday and from there up untill i started working part time at about 14 - 15 he gave my brother and i a great incentive .
He used to be a hair dresser and had a pretty healthy customer base and each haircut they did there me or my brother would sweep the floor after each haircut and hed give us 10c a sweep so we used to go in after school and on saturdays to work .
What hed do with me and my brother was tell us that if we ever wanted anything that if wed come up with half the money , hed put in the other half which i reckon was such a great learning lesson as i did pretty much work for everything i bought and it did mean more to me than if someone just gave it to me .
Anyway , i pretty much worked every day he did to save money and spend it on RC .
I now do the same deal with my kids that if they want something , they must come up with half and could earn it doing stuff around the house or with Bday money etc .
Anyway just a little background on allot of the old stuff i have and the Fox reminded me of that story as that was 1 of the last things i bought where dad went half with me .

I bought this last week and it arrived today .
Im going to fall just short of saying this thing is Mintapart from a few scuffs on the rims .
Ive got the rear gearbox casing out of it as he sold it to me minus gears but ive won a set of gears for it last night .
This car to me has the most nostalgia of all the Tamiya cars .. yes even over the bruiser .

cool Wild One.,
the first rc car i had was one,
i used it that much , i replace every part on it, then i drove it in to the ground,
It ended up in the wheelie bin , it was that worn out
remotebandit
17-06-2008, 06:06 PM
lmao .
Mate all i remember was the gear clunking in them and then continually wearing out the 3 planetary gears and the 2 other steel gears that were connected to them .
I remember it like it was ytesterday that the gears would eventually wear in 1 direction so wed remove the whole planetary assembly and reverse it , obviously then it would clunk in reverse

How old is that RB? I see it's got a caron fibre top deck!
My Tamiya Falcon as she sits today (on the shelf).
Purchased off ebay in 2005 as a clapped out, rough looking plastic bomb, and over the years picked up new bits here and there to get it to this point.
Still require new front rims and tyres...
