I guess there will be no more RC stuff for me for a while......I hope nothing breaks because I wont be fixing it!
I just forked out for my 1:1 scale WRX, and this is what I bought..
http://www.motec.com.au/m800.htm
For those who dont know what it is, its the equivalent of a top of the range Novak or LRP ESC......ie its the best "ESC" money can buy ;)
One came up for an absolute rock bottom price, and I snapped it up straight away.....blowing my entire car (and RC) budget in one fell swoop :P
It was over $1300 cheaper than a brand new one, and if the tune thats already saved on the ECU can be retuned for my car, I'll save a further 500 bucks on a full tune!
haha, good stuff!!
i doubt the tune will work on your car tho, too many vairables.
but there a good ecu ;)

Went to West Racing this morning to get the tune on it checked out, and we plugged it in....it primed up the pump, and it started, although it was in rotational idle mode...
So yes, it should work with a bit of tweaking ;)
yeah, should be close, but not 100%
as i said b4, so many vairables
i also have a aftermarket ecu, i tune it all myself. Good fun!!!
stop showing off joe, you ego stroking MoTeC owner :D

My car seat has packed it in...all of a sudden I'm sitting *real* low in it :P
Can anyone recommend a cheap bucket racing style seat (in black of course) that isn't fixed (ie. adjustable back)?
justo: try our sponser www.ModYourCar.com.au
balistc: what do you have atm in the rex? stock ECU or a smaller upgrade?

It may be worth getting a full tune, but I'll see what AJ @ Speedworks has to say, because this tune will definitely need the cam control turned off, and a whole heap of ignition and fuel setting changes, as well as setting up anti-lag to work off my kicker solenoid rather than the factory idle up valve.
What car do you have? What ECU??
Joe, is this because you didnt win the antilag - off? :D
