I have never had a motor or esc overheat on me, especially while drifting (wheels spinning all the time so no load on the motor), but that is an awesome mod!!! I love it! You should tell people it's to make your car go faster ;)

my shit gets pretty damn hot
even tho there is no resistance my car is geared right up
13 turn motor with 22 pinion and 60 spur
generates heat with or without resistance
be ineresting to find out how well it works

thats good idea
i been running a 25 pinion and a 55 spur due to the lack of TB-02 parts available and i havnt been able to have a decent drift for about 4 months simply because the motor (13 Team Orion) gets that hot the solder melts and the wires fall off.....
Hows that for damn hott????? :( :(

Do you guys have any heatsinks for your motors?
I am thinking about getting a set for my motor - as it gets pretty hot whilst getting sideways!

i run on 2x9.0v batteries in series
so same running time
if my shit didn't have heatsinks i'm sure the fan would be next to useless
i run the factory TB-02 Heatsink. and while it gets Pretty damn hot. it has never o'heated.
i suppose that fan would be a good idea. but couldnt bring myself to hackup the shell...
haaha
