Dunno whos interested in fish tanks here but i officially finished my little in wall project tonight .

Its a 7 x 2 x 2 foot tank mounted in our entrance wall .

Massive job to do as i had to pretty much pull that whole wall apart to get a lintle in there to hold up the upstairs brick work .

Just a few quick shots of it now but ill post more pix in days to come

Now for a pix of the ugly side .... but damn is it easy to clean from here , all i have to do is put the lights on a hinge on the bricks so they fold up instead of having to lift it off

That is awsome .I have contemplated doing exactly that for a while but haven't had the balls to smash the hole in my wall yet

damn , cant find the pix of my old set up but i will eventually .

Dan , all up id say i spent just shy of $4000? but most of it was on strengthening that cavity and avoiding the above bricks from crumbling . Then i also virtually had to replaster the wall as it was pretty much full of holes from the props holding the wall up while the lintal went in . Painting was free as im a painter ... hehe .

Tanks are cheap , about $300ish , filters about $700( got 2 under there ) , plants $300 , fish about $400 , hardwood and acc for stand $100 , 2 x Heaters $150 , soil plus gravel $90 , backing $30 , Lighting is 4 x 4 foot fluros plus holders with reflectors $190 ( not stock fluro batons ) and i think thats it .

All i know is that this was a 3 month project so i spread out the total $ over time and all i know is that it all bloody adds up and once you go past the point of no return you cant back out and also running a tank this size ( and maxd can vouch for this ) you can come home with a FULL bag of fish but when you throw them in the tank , its still VERY EMPTY

TD , ive got 4 whiptails in there that look like flat head but they do a bit of sucking plus ive got a few catfish .

Maxd ... 9Ft .. wtf are you doing bro , fill the thing up and do something with it that would look totally off tap bro .

Great job RB.
I also have a couple of tanks, used to have 20, so I have about 2000L of water in the house.
Your tank looks fabulous and makes me want to get my main tank finished...good onya! !rant
!lol

Abd your rams look very nice...all that space would be wasted on them in my tank but they do look great.
I'm also jealous of the plants, if they are real, as my main tank is too deep to have plants without spending as much on the lights as I have on the tank itself...bit hard to justify really.

I think the "Suckerfish" are Bristlenosed catfish Daniel.
