my kyosho is bushed all through-out, and after only a few rounds of racing theyre starting to wear. pay day was yesterday so ive just got back from a visit to Wings N Things in Gladesville (NSW) and this is what i bought....

the whole car is now ballraced and it only cost me $34 for a generic brand. the original kyosho brand ball bearing kit for the whole car is $99.95 (!!).

now the fun begins to pull apart the gearbox and put them in. lah.

It really does make a difference. You will notice straight away first time you drive it with the bearings in.

I just took my Kyosho SandMaster apart and saw this....

That red thing in the centre is a plastic bush :O

Even just replacing the 8 bushes in all 4 wheels is a big step up.
My LHS sells the generic sizes for $1.50 each so I will pick some up next time i'm there.

LHS = local hardware shop right? whoa, i had no idea that bearings of that size could be sourced there...

wings n things flogged me $2 per bearing, im amazed at how cheap it was to ball race the car. im still surprised that the genuine kyosho ballbearing kit is priced at $99.95

i'll attach some pics soon.

Local Hobby Shop

They sell them loose. The quality seems alright too. The ones you got are probably better than Kyosho ones for all we know.

so hows it run with ball bearings through-out?

WHOA SHIT SHE FLYS! there is a large speed gain. she also freewheels a lot, lot longer after i let go of the throttle. the motor aint so hot after a run.

its a magnificent bang-for-buck upgrade for a car that came standard with only metal bushes, and for the price of $34 to do the whole car its certainly not going to "break-the-bank" and makes for a very affordable upgrade.
