Having blown the FETs in my iWaver01 trying to run modified motors I have found a good solution.
Firstly I tried a couple of "External Turbo's" which attach to the motor and ESC but was not totally satisfied with their performance.
After some research I found some high performing FETs which are a direct replacement of the original units.
Basically you remove the original FETs and solder the new ones on. If you want to use high current motors you 'stack' the FETs for better current handling.
The new units are also HEAPS less resistive than the old ones so more power makes it to the motor :)
