Some may note that there are 2 1/8th classes in there. Because the track holds up to 1/8th scale punishment now, we are hoping to run these two classes, mainly for our local guys, hopefully with the electric truggies in with the nitros. If there are objections to this, let me know.
wats the format...how many qualifiers r there ??
wat tyres are the best...hole shots, x2000's??

3 or 4 Qualifiers, depending on time.
The schedule is on the entry form. There will be 5 rounds of finals dropping worst.

No one has yet run an electric car on the new surface, but it is what the yanks would call "hard slick" which means very hard packed with a thin skatey layer of dust on top. This dust tends to sweep off the racing line making for reasonable traction. Dave said that "Inside Jobs" would probably work well on it. X-2000s would probably also be pretty good.
Sounds like Bowties might work too if theres a skatey layer of dust on top.
What is available in terms of accomodation for Perth boys heading up?
Matt us Bunbury boys have booked at Ocean west which is near the beach....there are many other units around the same area. look geraldton up accomodation on google
What's the cost for a room at Ocean West?
3 bedroom is $185per night OR 1 bedroom is $125
the 3 bed room sleeps upto 6 so it works out cheap if you share with a few others

Hi
As far as tyre choice goes for up at geraldton, proline bowties or crimefighters work well in m2 compound. I raced up at geraldton for the wa challenge cup and bowties seemed to work really well because after a few qualifiers have passed, the racing line becomes very clean and has maximum traction. A few fellow racers said that proline bowties lrp (low profile) seemed to be faster than the std mtr bowties but for an average racer like myself, i didn't notice much when i switched.
As far as accomodation goes, try any of these:
Rhodeside Logde Motel 9964 1352
Intown Apartments - www.intownapartments.com.au -9964 1750 (Very neat and tidy, very good moneys worth)
Mahomets Village Holiday Villas 9921 6652
Best Western Inn 9921 1422 (Foxtel is nice after a hard day at the track!!!)
Cheers
Brendan

The main road that you take from North West Coast Highway is called Utakarra Rd, which turns into Mt Magnet Road, 12kms from the turnoff you will come up to a Go Kart track on the right, and it's behind that next to the Speedway, blink and you will miss it :D
Hope it helps

Actually, latest forecast now looks a little bit ugly for the Sunday, but if this is the case, it may just mean we race later on Sat night.
