Yo.

Spektrum has been around for a couple of years now, and Ive heard a few storys about the first generation of receivers being a little slow in their responsiveness. Certain manufactures such as KO put some technology into their FM gear and made some very high responsive radio gear and I beleive it took a while for spektrum to catch up?

For those who use a Spektrum SR3000 receiver, can you notice the difference if you've "upgraded" from an FM unit previously?

Could someone help me with a breif list of TX modules and RX receivers, and how they rate in terms of responsiveness? Do the receivers still cut out when the volts drop below 6v?

Any feedback or info is appreciated.

Matt.

I have a spektrum dx3.0 with a SR3000 and I used my futaba 2PL before i used my radio in nitro 1/8 offroad and the futaba 2PL was very responsive. Then when I used the DX3.0, it was so slow and I was overdriving my car because it was so slow. But now I have gotten use to my DX3.0 and it is good once you have gotten use to it. It never feels slow in electric though. If my TX batts go below 9v, it goes into failsafe. I have heard that the SR3000 RX drains the batteries alot

i dont post around here much n e more, but i have to respond on this thread. I used the first ever specktrum in my JR R1 and it worked flawlessly as quick as anything else i had ever used. i Think anyone who can feel a difference has another problem, they wouldnt release a system if it was noticeably slower.

I had some setup issues myself, but once i figured out the menu's and the different controlls i was fine.. The wheel itself had a alot stiffer spring which was a bit weird but as for the speed of the radio its a very quick radio when you have the good servo's hanging off the other end there is no lag, the standard servos supplied are rather slow and lagging, nothing to do with the TX-RX .imo (ive got a DX3.0)

I ran a 3PK with a Spektrum Pro and it felt very responsive, I use a Sanwa MX3FHSS in my Baja at the moment and you can notice somewhat of a lag at times to the point where I am looking at a DX3R or similar for it.
