Hey guys,
as the subject says, my scooter was stolen last night from my house. It was not insured, mainly cos it couldn't be cos I had modified it.
Just hoping you perth guys could keep an eye out for it on the road, if they're stupid enough to ride it around.
Anyway, it's an Aprilia SR Ditech 50cc(now a 70cc). Yellow and black. AF1 Racing stickers on it. Sport exhaust. Yellow handlebar grips and yellow end weights. Bike speedo attached to the right mirror. Rego: #1BM 871.
If you see it out on the road, feel free to bump them off it and PM me about it.

I got 94kmh (and still gaining slightly) through the grahem farmer tunnel. Out in the open it does between 80-90kmh. Down a hill once it managed 106 when it was still a 50cc.

Thanks guys. I already filed a report and happened to run into some cops while out looking for it so I told them as well.
I've basically accepted that it is gone. The pain is huge. This was MY baby. *I* was the one spending days and days of back aching work taking it apart and fixing it and installing parts and tuning it. Everything about it was *mine*.
I'm gonna sell my riding gear. Hopefully I can get a bit of money back and maybe with my luck, that's when my bike will show up ;)

Times have changed thats for sure.. gotta keep everything under lock and key.. and even then thats no guarentee.
Pity our western culture is soft on theifs... should be like some of the asian countrys where you may have a finger or 2 removed for each of these offences when its proven you are guilty (ie caught in the act).
Eventually you wouldnt have enough fingers left to comit these crimes..or it would at least deter some of them..
Ill keep an eye out for you buddy.
cheers stevo
Sorry to hear mate. I loved mine when I had one.
I'll keep an eye out.

Im sure this is going to be severely edited by the forum watch but i believe in going back to what someone said befor e .
When they catch these ****ing piece of shit ****ing assholes they should parade them to the central city and chop their ****ing hands off .
The law is becoming such that these criminal ****ers now have too many rights so theyve got nothig to lose .
Ive said my piece .

A bit of good news maybe.
My neighbour noticed today that her outside light had been unscrewed to turn it off. It must have been the thieves. She wasn't thinking at the time though and went and screwed it back in (leaving her fingerprints on it). I'm taking it to the police station tomorrow to see if the thieves left any prints.

Did you know that contrary to what the TV says, you shouldn't put evidence in a plastic bag? Apparantly it ruins fingerprints.
What ever happened to vigilante groups? I'd join. I'd even provide my own sack of doorknobs.

Of course not! The police don't give a sh** about a scooter. If they caught all the bad guys, they'd be out of a job.
I don't expect to ever see it again. I was watching the Moto GP last night and all I wanted to do was go out for a midnight ride. Was in a poor mood today...
