Hey guys,
I just got myself a kyosho spider elec. Everytime I put a pack in, and hit the trottle a squeek comes out of the motor, a small high pitched whine. Is this because my packs aren ot chraged?
It has a LRP sprinter ESC.

I think it's the ESC that makes the squeak? That's normal. Just lets you know it's working ;)

but the motor doesnt do anything, i think because the battery is not charged.
I had some touble getting the charger to work (i think it is okay now). Can anyone recoment some cheap and decent battery packs?

Venom 3000's seem like a pretty good deal if you can charge nimh batts. I think they're around 50bux a pop?
The beep from the motor when you're 5% on the throttle is normal but you could be talking about the beep from the ESC that some ESC's have. If the battery is not charged it's probably just the beep from the motor when it's trying to move.
As for some cheap packs, try here (http://www.unipros.com/cbpsite/packs.asp?cat=CAR&session_id=284977). It's about $50 a pack but you have to pay some shipping and all that goes with getting stuff from overseas but they are good packs.

I've had a problem where the motor wouldn't move at all, but i had a real bad 'squeeky/screeching' noise coming out of the motor - the esc didnt make noises ever - so i knew it was motor - and especially when we took it out we knew it was the motor...
Turned out there was a staple half stuck inside the can making the noise!!!
well - doesnt look like that's ur problem - but if you guys ever hear something like that - look for staples! -lol-

Goddamn this thing flies, and I jus got a rear drive belt (before it was onyl fwd) and some no-name 2100mah batts ($25 each at Hearn's Hobbies).
Ill let you know how the new batt's go.
EDIT: Man this thing FLIES with these new batteries.
I recon its faster than my onroad nitro's.
