in order to receive and send pm's you need to go into user control panal-edit options, tick enable private messaging and then click save changes.

WOW a topic about PM's, KingBob will be loving it :P

what i hate about pm's is i haven't figured out how to pm someone if you don't spell there nickname perfect, there is no pop up list of names similar.....

Well, it's not perfect, but it's getting there, I have no idea how vBulletin works, so I have to learn everything. I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the thread order (by date).. It should do it by default, but something went crazy with the import process.

Private messaging doesn't work by default? odd, I'll check that out.

There's a billion issues, I know... thanks for reminding me :)

On the thread list at the top of all the threads theres a tab called last post hit that and it re arranges em. I found this to be the easiest way and little backwards to what one would think will work correctly but it does for me.

Go into USER CP

Then to EDIT OPTIONS on the left hand side of page

Under THREAD DISPLAY OPTIONS (about halfway down the page)

See THREAD DISPLAY MODE

I’ve found that LINEAR – OLDEST FIRST works best for all threads and posts. I no it doesnt sound right but it works. I tried newest first and it put all the old posts and threads at the top.

I tried Top Dogs way previously but when I logged out and came back in to the forum it changed it back to the default settings again.
