anyone bringing their truck?
Can anyone tell me how the list was arrived at for the Challenge?
I tend to recall that the WAORMA Challenge was for the top 20 placed WAORMA members from the prior year, based on points earned during the Driver of the Year point score tally.
By definition, to be included in the WAORMA points score table, you had to be a member of a WA club (in the year of points accumulation) that was affiliated with WAORMA.
I also tend to recall that there may have been provision for some small variation for "wildcard" entrants, but cannot recall where this may be documented. Perhaps the former Secretary can assist here??
Either way, I believe the participants in the Challenge had to be members of a WAORMA affiliated club in the year prior to the Challenge.
Further, I know not how the "top 33" listed drivers has been arrived at. I am in possession of an official WAORMA list of DOTY placings, and this does not align with the list published in this thread. Can anyone shed light on this?
I would hate to think that the list of invited drivers has been somewhat "shaped" to benefit certain people and / or a certain club thereby undermining what was always a prestigious State event.

So is this going to be an open event where other drivers can nominate to race, or is it closed event where only the drivers listed can compete.
Top 30 + invitational are racing for places with trophys.
Support class is open to anyone and everyone, and for places only.
Entry form is attached :D

Do results in support classes count towards WAORMA point score for the year?

I thought EXACTLY the same thing Dr top 20 only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought they'd used the top 30 because of the number of people not racing anymore from the top 20 would mean they'd be lucky to get a dozen people. Expanding it to 30 means they may actually get 20.
I beleive that is the case too.
Top 20, and the next 10 (plus 3 others) are invitational.

Had a good days racing down at rypers, well organised and run. The only negative i can come up with is the lack of respect drivers have towards people marshalling. I know its a lonely job but a simple thanks goes a long way. :)
I couldnt make it due to work commitments today,
Who won each respective class?
Matt.
