Do you guys build your own battery packs? If so, what do you use for battery bars? Not that I look out for them often, but in my experience, it has been near impossible to get them locally. Juls tells me to use some brass strips they sell which I have used, but they're way too thick for micro battery usage.
Also, don't people use some sort of really thin tin that folds easily for making end to end solders between cells?
I was thinking of trying to build another pack...I'm 1:1 for the ratio between successful packs vs blown up packs.

I don't build 2/3A packs _yet_ but I would be inclinded to go to a sheet metal shop and buy some .5mm copper sheet for the batt bars
would use something thicker for the batt wire mounts.
Where you buying the cells from? are they matched or just zapped?

Yeah, I was trying to avoid having to order from overseas for a pissweak bit of metal....
I remember asking Perth Hobby for battery bars way back when I got an RC10. They had absolutely no idea what I was talking about! And I was supposedly speaking to the RC guys there...

I was just gonna buy some KAN1050 cells (again) from RMS. Very cheap. Got 8cells, deans connector and shrinkwrap for about 30bux. Just as good as GPs.

Got my GP 1100mah pack the other day from the USA...now I have 2 packs, meaning I dont have to wait so long in between charges ;)

Now you just need a motor to go with them :P
I need some new packs if I'm gonna race, but when you figure it out, I need another 4 packs to get through a session....expensive.
