The end of TA?

I can't believe whats happened to this forum.It used to be a buzz of activity all the time,now you are lucky if there is 2 new posts a week.:eek:.Whats the deal.In my opinion it is the new (generic) look of the site and there is no chat box.What is everyone else's opinion?

I think it takes a lot of time to run a site of any kind let alone a forum, perhaps a PM to James or Matt with your concerns?

James said when the upgrade was first done that it will take a lot of time to get the site up to scratch. give it a bit longer? but a chat box would be great:p

Well this is only my second post since the new site where i used to throw in a good 5 - 10 posts a day .

The old style TA , its was simple , very well layed out with pictures in threads and more importantly Unique and i used to look foward to getting home and catching up on posts and regular members as it was a happy place .

When your car runs perfectly and is in Excellent shape why do you need to buy a new 1 is my motto .

Im not going to comment further and cannot comment further as its not my site .

yeah, its lost allot of appeal. and doesn't seem any faster.

another site i know has also gone this format and gone quite the same way.

not my cup of tea as i check this site constantly, had a few dramas but the guys are trying to work things out.

I found when the site changed my old bookmark kept coming up with a error and i just thought the site was down and didn't manualy type the addy in until awhile later.. The pics in the forums missing was weird but i found a thing in the user setup which you have to tick to allow them to open up. guess its a phone freindly website with the pictures diabled unless you change it yourself.

The other thing would be the fact racing had died off due to winter and all , thus less attivity, most of the time i was just quickly passing by with check the events and club thread section to see when it was all about to start up again..

But yes i do have to agree the new forum has kind of killed the site.

i must say it has been Very quiet since the upgrade. there used to be 5+ funny/interesting links posted everyday, lucky to get 2 a week.

Most RC forums are rather quiet of late, its not just TA

well its up to us to get the site up and running again and it should be good as we are back up and racing for the warmer months now
a site only works if its members post and visit it so lets get back into it and get it back to the old ta site was:)

Hi all, thanks for the feedback!

The URL has never changed, if people had the actual "forum" url bookmarked, then I guess that's too bad. If it's such a big deal I can do a re-direct. It's really not hard to change a bookmark..

Chatbox. I do wan't to put a chatbox back in, it's cool, I like it, everyone likes it. As soon as I find a good one, I'll get it one up.

I am indeed very busy, and it's not going to get any quieter for me, so when I have time, I work on the site.... :)

One things for sure, the site is HEAPS quicker now! Laugh at me if you must, but i still have dial up (til i move house) so i can quite easily see which sites load up quickly etc becuause it takes a considerable higher amount of time, before this site used to be on par or slower than rctech, now this things loads up in nearly half the time!

Probably because theres far less graphics on this site than the previous TA. I never had speed issues on the old one anyway.
