Further info on the Carine Interclub on the 16th November 2008 (as posted elsewhere)
The Carine layout has been given a freshen up to keep the racing exciting and after a few runs last Sunday we're confident most people will like it. We've moved the crossover to make it a table top through the esses with the fast straight/s utilised again. The track is in great condition and with the bit of rain this week will be even better.
The gates will open 7.30am, nominations by 9.00am, racing 9.30am.
There will be drinks for sale and I'll crank up the Webber again for roast meat rolls at lunch. Pork seemed a hit so I might stick to this unless anyone indicates a particualr prefernce for beef.
We rely on these interclubs to keep Carine running so we look forward to a good turnout. If you haven't recieved an entry message Alex or email carinerc@iinet.net.au (carinerc@iinet.net.au)

"So for the remaining interclubs: Carine (16th Nov) and Westcoast (29th Nov) Lipo batteries will be allowed for racing.
However, please note there are still rules and regulations attached to the running of lipo batteries, and these will follow the guidelines set out by ROAR (which is adopted by AARCMCC)

Ace hobbies in Midland have hundreds of LiPo sacks in stock at the moment they are apparently the state distributor for LiPo safe. They are a bit under $35 for the small one 20x18 or around $41 for the larger 30x22 but need to ask for your club discount, they advised you may be able to get them cheaper from the hobby shops they distribute too due to the fact they cant undercut the people they wholesale too,Dave from Ryper was making enquires with them on Friday to get some in so he may be able to sell them a bit cheaper in the next few days.

I hope that everyone that is using lipo's will be checking their vehicle weight to make sure they are on or over weight since lipos are so much lighter than sub c's.
I wouldnt want to see anyone have to drop a race because they were under weight.

Good point. Minimum weights may be checked at scrutineering during the event. Minimum weights are (including transponder)
2WD - 1,500g
4WD - 1,615g

well i put a socket on the front end of my car :P figured it will keep the front end down! and it ways 30 grams so all up my car is 1,730grams and the battery isnt fully charged :0

Since your not a hard core race (I no that because you drive a T4 :p) I recon you might just want to make sure your over.
I no its not going to be like the states but lets keep it fair and why not have a little scrutinizing a Interclub level for a change.
To be on the safe side I have mine about 50gms over, just because I no there is always some variation between scales and being a Losi I could remove all the electronics and it would still be a over weight pig.

Last call for nominations for the Carine Interclub this Sunday.
So far low numbers in:
- 4WD stock
- 4WD open
- 2WD stock
- 2WD open
- 1/18th
So if you want to guarantee a class runs and give yourself a good chance of a medal, nominate for these! But be quick as medals will be sorted in next few hours.

At this stage have reasonable numbers for:
Truck Stock
Truck Mod
4WD Seniors
MT
Others may need to be almalgamated if don't get further entries.
1/18th not running at this stage as only 2 nominations.
(Don't whinge if there isn't a trophy for you if you turn up on Sunday without prior nominations as we're not mind readers!)
Paul, Could you put me (Daniel Temple) in 2wd mod instead of 2wd stock.
Thanks,
Dan
hi Paul, i forwarded some email entries to you that were sent to me earlier.
regards
Alex

Thanks to everyone participating today. It was great to hear positive comments about the work done to the track. This feedback and an enjoyable day's racing makes all the work workwhile in getting the event together. It certainly makes us appreciate turning up at other club's events!
Hi Everybody
Congratulations Carine. You put on a great Event. The track looked great (I didn't race, my cars are out of action from Friday Night at West Coast). The weber BBq was also very good. I have attached a few shots of the track for those that haven't seen the changes. I am including some action shots too. There will be more to come over the next few days. I took over 500 shots at the track. I also took over 500 shots for a wedding on Saturday night. So I have a lot of editing over the next few days. I will have to devide my time between my real job and my RC shots. Please give me a few days.
Thanks
prp
Hi Again
Here the rest of the track shots and a few action shots (more to come). The new layout makes for some spectacular racing. For me the highlight was Darren's brave drive first with only three wheels then only two wheels and he still managed to keep it in a straight line. Impressive mate.

Yes that is a few of the guys playing cricket in the nets
Yes that is a few of the guys playing cricket in the nets. they got bored over the lunch break. Did I mention how well the weber bbq went down. All the meat was cosumed in a very short time. many went back for seconds. Thanks again to Paul, Volker and everyone else at Carine, great meet (no pun intended)
