Hey blokes , unfortunately this arvo my 2 year old was bitten by a white tail spider ( fortunately my daughter was able to catch it after it bit him to show us what bit him and it was confirmned as this by the doctor ) .
Is there anything that can be sprayed around the house , through out the house to stop any more coming inside or in their cubby house .
From research it seems to be the season now for them and i dont want the kids to have to go through this again as im sure any parent can understand .

Hope your son is ok.
To be honest, for the sake of a life I would spend the money to get a pesty in to do a proper job exterminating the house and cubby house. Whats a few hundred dollars when as you will already know a life might be at risk.

The kids strong mate .
He was obviously feeling it yesterday when it happened coz when we got back he just lied on the couch which is weird coz the kids never ever still .
Today hes been ok playing and hes on antibiotics and the rash is not getting any bigger which is a good sign so all good .
Rang the exterminators today and they comoing next week to do the cubby house and back yard but they also said theirs no garuntees its going to stop the spiders but it will slow them down .

VENOMOUS - CAN BE DANGEROUS
White-tail spider bites can cause burning pain followed by swelling and itchiness. In some cases, blistering or local ulceration have been reported conditions known medically as necrotising arachnidism. Minor bacterial infection of the wound caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans carried by the spider, may be a contributory factor in such cases. A debate continues about the involvement of White-tail spider bite in cases of severe ulcerative skin lesions seen in patients diagnosed as probable spider bite victims. Typically, in such cases no direct evidence of spider bite is available.
Habitat - this spider prefers cool places and is commonly found in garden mulch areas.
In summer it may sometimes wander into your Home to escape the heat.
