TA Prizes

Hey blokes , with Christmas coming we the moderators would like to put up for a prize of something of value to most TA members for our next competition .

We are wanting ideas on what people would like as the prize but seeing we havnt organised advertising or sponsors at this early stage of our new site , i am funding it out of my pocket so i have to limit the spend to a $100 prize which will not go far on a kit but may go far on accessories ( a nice charger , power supply , lipo pack ???? ) .

Anyway , suggestions in this thread would be great so that we can get the next comp underway .

I was thinking of a 30 second video advertising TA but then thought it may be unfair for the non PC advanced members but if anyone does want to send me 1 so i can make a promotional dvd i can pass around that would be great ( dont get this confused its not for a prize .. hehe )

Hey adam i reckon a lipo as every one has a rc car car and they fit most cars.

I think a good high speed/torque servo like a Futaba S9551 would be a good prize that would go down well with anyone.

theres load of stuff that comes in handy , pit mats, stickers, nice set of pinions on a pinion holder the list goes on :)

all these ideas are for prizes and also we could sell them to the ta members and get the word around this way and raise somke funds for the site

I like the lanyards, either used for radios at racing or keys/id at work... a thousand and one uses!

Ok , for the krissy comp i dont want to use these as a prize as id be wanting to give something of a higher value like Lipos or something but it does seem there is a massive request for these other items .

I have no idea who can organise these for me so does anyone know of a place that does these Lanyards / T Shirts / Caps at wholesale prices ( say 100 of those lanyard things , 20 caps / 30 T shirts as i dont think we will get rid of more than that ) .

PM me some places and i will look into it but if prices get rediculous we may have to take pre-orders or start a donations board with credits given to people who contribute as i cant wear the total cost on my own at this early time in the new Website .

Adam there used to be a guy that did stickers in PipeWorks Market.I am not sure if he is still there or not.I will investigate the T-Shirt thing if you like as I luv a good slogan T-Shirt.Some of the shirt sites will print to order.I suggest that we have the TA logo on the front maybe a RC type slogan on the back.Just a suggestion.My slogan suggestion is in my sig.

A pit mat or lipo would be a good idea if everyone on here raced or had a car but there are a few people that dont do or have either.

TBH, A gift voucher that could be spent a local hobby shop would mean more to everyone and wont disappoint anyone.

As for getting stuff made with T/A logo's on it, drop Obzelite (spelling) a pm and have a chat to him before you talk to anyone else. He will be able to point you in the right direction for getting hats, mats, lanyards or shirts done.

I'd be down with T-Shirts .. as long as you use eichkay's banner design :D .. pre-orders seem to me like a good idea to raise some funds for other prizes.
