Wow. Ordered from rcmart and asiatees on saturday. Both packages arrived today. Awesome!

I got
- a couple sets of tyres/wheels to try for my M18.
- some replacement wheel hubs for the M18. I can see myself breaking the ones I have already trying to get the wheels off!
- Xray composite pinions. 13, 14, 15, 16t. For both M18 and Mini-t
- Al steering set for mini-t
- Al motor case for mini-t
- Al front upper cap for mini-t
- Al body posts for mini-t

100% bling factor.

nice work man!!! d00d - let me know how you go with the steering set :) I've heard it takes a lil of the slop out - but not all of it - i hear that the drag link is a main factor in it :( What's the front upper cap? Oh - one more q -lol- how do the composite pinions attach? - are they push on, or do they have a set screw?
I love when shipping comes in quick! I got my whole order from tower/fullforce and some other place i forget now...strange -lol- anyways - i love express post - i'll always pay the extra - even if it was $40 worth - i hate waiting -l-

The upper cap is the top half of the front bulkhead. You've got the bottom part in aluminium I think. I prefered the top only, cos it's the bit I see the most in photos. Plus, if I break the bumper off again, I can rip the plastic bottom bulkhead off and get the screws out. If it were all aluminium, I'd have to replace the lot.

If the drag link is the problem, you reckon a carbon fibre one would be good to replace it with?

The pinions have a setscrew (you only get one though). They are big ass setscrews too and screw in tight. Now I have a dremel though, I will grind a flat spot on the shaft to attach them to.

Tower for me has been slow 2 out of the 3 times I've ordered from them. I prefer the smaller companies cos they seem to be consistantly fast.

I guess this is kinda what it's like for americans....they complain when things take a week to arrive

Put all the parts on tonight. Mini-T is lookin good. It's all carbon fibre and aluminium now. I'm thinking of replacing the ball cups with something colourful if I can find a direct fit replacement. Silver shocks would be nice too. I'll take pics later when I can be bothered.

Oh, and the steering setup definately gets rid of the slop (for now). I was a bit worried that it seemed a bit tight, but it works fine.

The only slop left, comes from the fact the front wheel nuts dont tighten all the way.

hey i thought i saw the draglink included in the steering set from GPM @ rcmart? Looked like it had 2 small balls like the bottom of the shocks do - where the screw goes through - that small ball part gets rid of where the slop comes from in the drag link - mine is still stock atm, so i can definately see the screw moving freely in the draglink's hole - hope that made sense -lol-

i think i tried to order a graphite draglink - we'll see when it gets here, cause it didn't actually say 'draglink' -lol- said it was a "GPM Graphite Steering Plate W/Screws For Mini-T" and it kinda looked right, so i bought it -lol-
man i cant wait to get my package!

Im using a hs81MG....cheap, fast, reliable so far.

The drag link that comes with the assembly is graphite I think. I noticed it had the tell tale black carbon fibre markings. It uses two brass looking washer things that sit in the hole (sort of like the ones they give with servos all the time).

thats them :) those holes where the washer thing sits on the stock one wears out from the screw rubbing on it all the time - i'd assume the washers would take out any wera there wouldn't it?

hey - i was really keen to get a hs81mg - but i couldnt find any in stock anywhere, so i went with the JR NES375MG micro servo which is same size as stock one - it's not all that quick tho, and it doesnt have too much balls to it either -lol- where'd get urs and how much was it - if u dont mind my asking? :)

although i must admit, i bought the same JR servo with plastic gears and rebuilt the gears 4 times before getting the MG version -lol- I went with the JR micro, cause i had no idea what else to use, and wanted to order other stuff asap -lol- im too impatient :)

I think they are about 38bux from RMS. You're not in Perth are you? I'd try modelflight cos they seem to be similarly priced and very quick to post.

if you were looking for a direct link, just go to their site and head towards Control > Servos > Hitec
