ok guys heres your chance to tell the world what you do to raise funds for your rc habbit( your job or how you make money)

ill start
i work as a driller on the mine sites
i do 12 hour days and work pretty hard
im a senior driller on my site and supervisor
i love my job and get to see most of australia
i have drilled on rc rigs and diamond rigs and blast hole rigs and wouldnt change it for the world
i work with big machines and get to see some even bigger machines
my office is the ozzie bush
i get paid a fair bit to do my job with lots of perks
i have been doing this job for the past 7 years

3 employees ( 1 going as soon as he stuffs up AGAIN )
Work hours vary : 5 - 14 hour days
Work type : Mainly commercial now but have a contract with large body corp Vic wide
Headaches : 10% of jobs are headaches

Electronic lockers

Service manager for Victoria and Tasmania ( looking after 46 locker sites )
Job description : Repair and service lockers , monthly audits , train staff , deal with investors ( nasty ) .
Hours non school hollidays : 10 hours a week if i organise contracotrs to do the servicing for me otherwise full time .
Hours school hollidays : 20 hours a week including using service contractors .

In all this i have to deal with curtomers and venues over the phoneif things go faulty .



Other job :

Home theater installation / Projector repairs
Callibrate plasma / LCD displays
Hours totally vary but i get at least 1 job a week
Installations i only do high quality installs eg: wont touch anything under a $10,000 system ... dont make too much off the installs but get a constant flow of servicing once ive set them up so get 1 of those every couple of months .

My job

Chef
Working in a 5 star hotel (The Duxton Hotel Perth) with about 38 other chefs.

Work hours: 8-12 hours a day is common have done up to 17 hours more than once.

Work type: Ala carte at the moment in the hotels restaurant but can be transferred to the baquets kitchen at any given moment.

Headaches: 1st yr apprentices! But then one of my favourite past times is publically humiliating them and making them cry :).

Love my job and can't imagine doing anything else.

Job: Mine Surveyor
Location: Eneabba WA
Desc: traipsing around (well running almost sometimes) through bush, and over sand pits, up top and down bottom of sometimes very steep, not neccesarily stable pit walls, at any moment could step into dirt that looks ok, but is mud like quicksand, and be up to knees and struggling to get out, 4wd bush bashing also part of job, and processing the data collected on the computer.

Hazards: steep pit walls, water, bush ticks, snakes, emus, kangaroos, CAT 777s and Geologists :D
Headaches: End of month volumes and Geologists :D But a lot less than my old job.

9 hrs /day, 5/2/5/3

Job:Electrician by trade but I am doing a lot of security and other things at the moment ie: alarm systems,camera systems,High end home theater,home automation.
Location:All around Melbourne.
Pro's:Get to play with other peoples expensive stuff.
Con's:Been working down the other side of town lately.Traffic is shite.
Hazards:Customers who don't pay.

I work in aged care, kinda immune to economic ups n downs as people always get old.

And I get to stay in my office all day :)

Job: Offroad EP R/C Racer
Hours: 3-10hrs a week (depending if theres racing or not)
Location: Around W.A, maily perth and bunbury
Pro's: Love working with cars and gettin my hands dirty
Headaches: Having too much sh*t on during the week, leaving little time for R/C.
