Ive been wanting to do this for quiet some time now. Ive had 2 of these 40series body's in the corner for many months now waiting for a chassis to turn up.

Picked up a good condition tamiya CC01 chassis from a mate i did a swap with. His misses wont let any new RC's come into the house without some leaving (poor bugger)

Chassis come bare without wheels, These wheels are just for mockup at the moment need to find better rims or i do have some F350 tires i might run instead (little bit taller with BF Goodrich MT look)

First things first ive got to lengthen the wheel base a little and then sort out the rear body mounts.

Looking good. Thanx for the compliment Pete, but i wouldnt say guru. i have been known to turn out the odd truck that looks ok from a distance but. if you squint abit, and turn your head on the side and turn the light off.

Some more progress this morning, Made some new mounting points (battery bars) for the 4 link rear to move it back 12mm to meet the landcrusiers wheelbase.

I was looking at all sorts of post, felt these gave the best support up/down left and right.. after fitting them im happy i did it this way, doesn't allow the body to rock around.

Body is in the paint shop at the moment, going the brilliant blue and white..
