On Road is a whole new world dan, id advise a stock motor setup for a first outing.. What motor did you have in it today ? Because the stock motor cars do laps around the speeds you had going.

Just threw in my old 17T Driftmiester blue motor.
The entire car is still pretty much set up as drift spec, minus the locked rear diff. The suspension need a lot of work and I need to play with the gearing I think.
Was still a lot of fun and was something different.

17t would put it in the mod class, 19t gets you a super stock class and then there is stock bellow that.
Your 17t once dialed in would get slaughtered up against 2.5 to 5.5 BL setups in the same class.. Still good fun for a run tho... I went down with my TA02 with a 6.5 in the mod class, and then run my mini chassis with a 19t in the super stock class.. that was great fun getting the car dialed in to handle that power.
If you do head down let me know i tag along and give some pointers, of what little i know.

i guess rc is much like real racing, tarmac is 80% car and 20% driver, dirt is 80% driver 20% car

I think the 17T is a little bit quick to start off with. I was fine on Sunday but know I would struggle with other cars on the track, as I'm sure it was much much easier being the only car out there.
I might just start off in stock class and move up to super stock if I start liking it and get a bit bored with the slower speeds. I'd much rather go out and have some fun and get a few laps under my belt before I start breaking things. I could see me doing a lot of damage ever with the 17T.
I'll be sure to let you know if I'm heading to the track on Sunday, however there was some talk about a few of us from work having a drift on Sunday. Rick's pretty keen to break his out!

I'd be happy with 20% driver ;)
Might get eichkay to set up my car and see if he can get me a 90% car 10% driver...lol

Ok i have some questions, i have a hot bodies tc and need some help setting it up.
1) What are the best tires and compound to use on the bayswater track.
2) What is the best brake setting for my speed controller, using a lrp tc comp brushless.
3) Is it best to spool the front diff or have fixed.
4) What is the best setup for the suspension, currently using the one in the manual.
5) Any other things people can think of that might help.
