It'll be the same size as the venom one.. I think the venom unit is a copy of the kyosho but i was told be stannies the rider doesn't move on the venom one like it does on the kyosho..

One of my mates has got the venom bike, when we are drifting at bayswater in feb we'll have these things side by side then and will do some comparing.

Doesn't say but a quick skim of the manual its about 100-120pc excluding screws etc.

Building a kit is half the fun!

But then i'm also a modelmaker so i would like building them.

I completely built my RC8T, even fuel tank, reciever box etc, despite that they'll all get removed when the e-conversion kit arrives!

Hey Eitch .

There are a few mods you will need to do to keep the bike running at peak as its very sloppy and irratic out of the box .

Below are just a few but if you want the mods in detail send me a pm and ill organise it .

1 : front tyre you must fill with silicon to stop the empty bounce effect . inserts are just ok but you need something more solid .

2 : modify the side crash bars as they are too high and you will scrape your fairing .

3 : cover the bottom fairing with contact or something protective as they come off pretty often and your paint jobs gone ( there is a mod to keep them on but gets ugly )

4 : Insert a few washers in the front axle as its very sloppy as stock

5 : cable tie the 2 piece rider together around his gut / chest as they have a habbit of coming apart when you crash ... you cant glue him as you sometimes need access inside him

5 : IMPORTANT ... Front shock springs you must stretch as the first few millimeters of suspension will be dead and it will give you issues . Drop a touch of 40wt in there as well

6 : Run chain a bit tighter than loser coz if their looser they will skip more often than grab

7 : Check the riders backside , some of them rubbed the seat after assembly which meant center wasnt always accurate

8 : Just try having a play with different weights in the rider , you may find a weight that works perfectly with the way you drive .

These are just a few things we went through when we raced them here in Melbourne years ago so hope atleast 1 of these ideas help ya .

take off all the fairings , paint the rider black with a red and black helmet , paint the shocks gold and give it full power ..... it will then look like you in your avater ... haha .

What a top kit though ha .

Coming along very nicely.

Any chance of posting some pics of it sitting next to something so I can get an idea of its size? Maybe a Dr.Pepper can or one of your 1/10 scale cars.

The photos so far are great but it looks tiny. I've never seen one before and I have absolutely no idea how big it is.
Cant wait to see it finished and to see it in action.

Good stuff Keri, I had one of the Tyco bike years ago and it was great fun.

I had a bash of one of these many years ago and it too was great fun.

I also remember seeing them running at bayswater one sunday and the guys had a terrible time getting them through the corners after you come off the main straight and the back straight because they just wouldnt flip flop from one side to the other quick enough.

Cant wait to see what you do with the paint on this thing.

Any hints? Stock paint scheme or modern and save the decal sheet for a rainy day?

Guess she was being nice... Anywho, did a bit of painting this afternoon, just the small details ... Swingarm, Shocks, Brakes & Calipers, Seat, Exhausts, Sprocket and the Riders face. Undecided on the riders body and fenders at the moment..

I'll be looking around to see what i can find.. Might get some thick 3M clear stuff they use on full sized bikes and car for stone chipping protection.

Nice. I think the thunder tiger nitro ones are the best looking scale bikes and would like one just for the shelf.
