Well the beast is up and ready to test.
I would like to have it ready for a bit of competition on Friday night.
Like Keri I have used a 2 shoe nitro clutch system hooked up to a 2040kva NEU motor that is bolted to a plate that allows the use of the factory chassis Mount plates for setting the mesh.
And, in turn, lashed to a Mamba Monster V3 and 2 Trak-power 4900 which are held in with velcro straps onto a battery tray that is fixed to the chassis with and Alli plate.
The only mod I have done to the Chassis is 3 counter-sunk 3mm holes to mount the servo.
as soon as I can get my Bluetooth sorted I will upload some pics.

Pete, I have tested the truggy already and am just doing some fine tuning before Friday night. It flies and drives very well and the lay-out seems to be pretty well balanced...not perfect but pretty good.

If it doesn't have mechanical brakes it isn't worth looking at.
