Carine are introducing some summer racing to the calendar in the form of a 2 round summer series. There will be trophies for each class for overall winnners of the 2 events. To qualify for a win you will need to have attended both events. The second round is 15 February 2009.
Classes run will be determined by entries recieved but will aim to keep to mod classes as the astroturf is condusive to fast racing but will run a stock class if lots of entries here. Also running MT.
To avoid the heat we will open gates 7.30am, nominations by 8.30ish and hopefully get underway by 9.00am.
Drinks and hotdogs will be for sale.
Entries $10/class
Email entries/enquiries to Paul at carinerc@iinet.net.au

If you can send me a completed form Keri, that would be great (legal reasons).
We'll be running normal interclub format of 2 qualifiers and 3 finals.

I was looking at trying the BL stock motor out at Carine for this event but as Paul said friday if we get enough show of hands for Stock he'll run the class.
Might even try running a 10.5 or 13.5 if it remains a mod truck class.

My advice is bring both Truck mod and stock gear on the day and we'll see how we go though we'd prefer to restrict it to mod if possible to keep the day on a tighter time schedule. We can all then go home and have a siesta!

Thanks to all that showed up for a great days racing. The day was marked by some incredibly close and fast racing - 13 laps in MT!

Just a reminder that the second and final round of the series will be run this Sunday 15 February. We'll have trophies up for grabs for each of the 4 classes (will be something different for first prize!).

It's the chicken and egg scenario - more people show and we'll hold events more regularly!

Thanks to everyone that competed in one or both rounds of the Summer Series. It was a pleasure holding the event and we hope you all spread the word so the next series we run is even better supported. Maybe a Winter Series?

Thanks to the Carine club for a a great event, its a really fun track to drive. Would be great to hold regular race days at the Carine track. I'm sure people would put some effort into helping out on a working bee to maintain the track (smooth out the sweeper :p) if it meant we could all drive there more. Its good to race in daylight too :D

Awesome photos! Great shots of cars in the air, and great action shots, nice to be able to see your own car cornering hard etc. Can see if the camber is set right too! :)
