Okay so here it is my new crawler (almost) complete .. Still a few decals to go  .. Really enjoyed putting this kit together and have been having a ball crawling around piles of rubble at my house .. Didn't realize crawling was so much fun .. Have made a few mods to the chassis and it now crawls way way better than stock .. Suspension mods i have pulled from RCCrawlers.com but i have also moved the transmission forward .. Moved the battery tray forward and down at the front .. Lowered middle mechanism deck .. Now it seems a lot less top heavy .. I also added HPI 45T crawler and pro-line soft memory foams .. What do you think?

hey snpy , im new to crawlers but loving my AX10 .

Ive seen this on petes site at western crawlers and am considering upgrading to 1 .

How would you compare this to the AX10 , this 1 looks allot more scalish in all aspects

Hi RB .. im new to crawling as well and i don't have a spare axial on hand to compare with .. none the less i find this to be sort of an in between chassis .. not quite scale and not a out and out crawler .. The body is fantastic .. great detail .. there is also about a hundred decals to put on .. out of the box the handling was kinda weird and not what i was expecting but yeah after a few tweaks i was really impressed and am very happy now .. and the only things i had to buy was the motor ($40) memory foams ($30) and high torque servo ($80) .. the turning circle is a little lacking too .. will sort that out later .. all depends what your looking for :)

Here's the pics you requested Richard .. Just one afternoon late :) .. Painted it with camel yellow then i backed it with bright yellow and it changed into this pale orange .. Came out quite nice .. what do you think?

I also changed the shocks how you showed me .. wayyyyy better .. cheers.

That looks awesome!!!

I think the springs need to match the paint job or maybe black them out, they stand out to much now. :)

How is it for feeling top heavy now? Much better than the FJ body?

Any problems with the tyres rubbing?

Hey RB, IMO out of the box the RTR Axial is not much better than the CR01.

The only down side to the CR01 is that its top heavy but they are two totally different class vehicles.

They are both very capable crawlers.

I haven't had a chance to run the body yet as im still painting but its actually physically heavier than the fj40 but it mounts a lot lower .. almost on top of the chassis rails at the back and a little higher at the front .. at full flex the tires just touch the side panels so i think i may cut some off then the body will mount even lower .. may post some pics later on .. cheers for the comment :)

Yay another full size, unmolested truck body.. Will be line'n up a side by side photo with my K5 blazer.
It look really good, i do like the camel yellow... not so dramatic and bright.

Actually it was the picture you posted of your unpainted Blazer on your Axial that made me want to buy a crawler in the first place .. Got holidays starting Monday so make sure to post about crawl sessions so i can hook up with you guys .. Will pose for pics anytime man.

They look awesome!!!

Just be careful of your drive shafts now, with all that grip your in for some drive shaft destruction.

Yes i don't think they will last much longer .. do you happen to know off the top of your head if you gentlemen at Perth RC have re-stocked your range of Traxxas parts? .. Last time i was there you had the shafts but not the yokes.
