You can't download the menus and special features on DVD's can you??? I damn sure hope so - they're usually my favourite parts -lol-

Dan, normally you don't find dvd images for download. Usually people just rip the movie. You can turn the movie file back into a dvd-readable format but it takes AGES. I don't bother cos my xbox plays anything :P

What game do you have? Is it the PC one? If so, that has got to be the crappiest thing I have ever installed on my PC. I was actually contemplating modding my PS2 just so I could import the proper PS2 Initial D game....

Damn, just talking about it makes me want to go back to Timezone and blow 20bux on the arcade game.

im in two minds about this one. firstly its initiald so its gonna be damn cool...coz like...initiald rawks!

but secondly...its being made by the chinese with all chinese cast....wtf? way to ruin something so very very japanese. even listening to actors is gonna ruin it. i remeber sitting through some really terrible chinese dubs of initiald anime and thinking how much they sucked im comparison to the proper japanese language ones.

even in the trailer i noticed bunta say something like "if u spill one drop im gonna beat the hell outta you" now im too lazy to go dig up my xvids...but im pretty sure in the anime he didnt put it like that. bunta is all laid back cool....hell he can drift with his eyes closed...literally.

so i can see this movie being pretty dissapointing. im sure a proper jap production could do it much more justice. but oh well.

** Initial D Liva Action Movie Thoughts **

Well I just watched it. One of the funniest (and strangest) movies I've seen in a long whhile. You really do have to be a fan to appreciate it otherwise it will make even less sense than it did to me.

Whoever did the subtitles must have given up halfway through cos none of the dialogue made any sense at all. We had a great laugh at most of the things the characters were supposed to be saying. We even started making up our own lines cos they made more sense. I think they used the word "float" instead of "drift" which was funny.

I was disappointed at the fact the actors weren't japanese nor did they even speak in japanese. Didn't seem right.

Apart from that, the cinematography was awesome. Some of the shots which were backed up by CGI were really cool. And just seeing real life cars drifting , but only being shown the best shots was brilliant.

All in all, one for the fans definately. Bring on Project-o D !lmao
