Yay got a nice package in the mail today. My MRX-4 kit. The MRX-4 Is made by Anderson company. Duratrax in the states rebadge this car as the MiniQuake. I had fun building my first kit, learnt how the car works, got frustrated by the fiddly oil shock eclips. Overall it took me about 3hrs start to finish, time just went by, obviously I was having fun.
Unpainted body, as I do not have any paint. duh!

I put on some prelim stickers on and I think its looking good at the moment without a paintjob. I'll get some photos later.

Me and some mates made a 0.5m jump today, which explains the scratched up body. I don't think I will bother painting this one, gonna just be a basher body.

what made u buy this over a mini-t [seem pretty damn popular and well price]? i been interested in some of the other mini trucks that look a bit more hardcore. but im also keen on racing the t if i got one. just curious on other ppls descisions.

I wanted this because of the 4wd. (I reckon easier to control when at speed) It was better hopped up then the miniT stock. (full bearings 8oil shocks). This one cost me about $110USD shipped to my door. It was in a kit form, and I already had the electrics, (the kit came with a 380 motor).
And from my testing on the week end the truck is pretty damn solid. Out of the box it is faster then the miniT, and from what I read it would have taken just about the same to get it to the same speed as the MQ/mrX4.
On the weekend we made a nice ramp for our trucks (friend has MQ) We were jumping about 3M long and into the air close to 2m. Had full speed crashes into walls, attempting forward flips, and landing several multi flips. The only thing I broke was the antenna. (poor electrics) This was an easy solder job.
Oh and I will get the video off my friend and post it up sometime.

Apparently these things go well with Mamba brushless motors in em ;)
