Sometimes when things work great why upgrade the software but because im stupid , itunes tells me there is a new version out and i download it .

Anyway , its installed it , rebooted , everythings sweet but when i turn it on , the ipod now asks me to enter a 4 digit passcode WTF ....

Ive never entered a passcode into it and after a few attempts it just locks up for a minute and tells me to try again .

Anyone got any ideas

Force a restore is the only way to get past a passcode. but it will erase everything

Disconnect from PC.
Hold the sleep button until it prompts to slide to turn off.
Turn off.
Launch iTunes.

Hold the Home button and keep it held in while you plug the Touch into the PC.
iTunes should prompt you to restore.

You have to re-sync to put your files back on.
