Hey blokes , i ussually buy CDs but am now going to try itunes to buy 1 ( George - Polyserina ).

Ive never used itunes before as ive heard there is some type of DRM or protection on them so i cant burn it to CD once ive purchased the album .

Is this true and once i buy it and have downloaded it , can i simply throw it onto all my PCs , load it onto non apple mp3 players bla bla bla or is it still prtected in those terms .

Think you can put it onto a mp3 player of any type and on the comp you downloading it onto but theres a limit to how many time you can do that. I found bigpond music a far better option myself for downloading music or get it free via torrents.

bigpond music ..,. good call bro , ill go there .

Mate , my days of getting them free are over bro ... sick of all the spyware that comes with it ... hehe .

I tell you another thing though , cashies are grouse for CDs , when i get in a music mode i now hit a couple of cashies stores and i always find the cd i want for like $6 - $9 so if you tell them your gonna spend $100 theyll give ya about 14 - 15 of them .

Onyl reason i want to buy online tonight is because i heard a song off that album about an hour ago and pulled out the CD but my son has scratched the hell out of it and i want to listen to it now ... haha

A new ipod question ( this is why i hate these frikkin things and their designer software ) .

Ive repaired an ipod video or something like that , not sure which model it is it is but its got a 30gig in it .

I want to grab all the songs in it and copy them to mine or to my hard drive as i have to do a full reset on it and need to back it up so i can throw it all back on ( the customer doesnt have a back up as their laptops stolen ) .

Ive got itunes on my PC with my own songs etc so dont want it mingling with that .

How can you see these things as a hard drive and just pull the songs off it .

Frikkin apple shit sometimes is just rediculous

forgot to mention , if i turn itunes off , i can see the opid as F: drive and it shows it as 28gig - 18gig free but when i open the folder it says its empty which is impossible as theres 10 gig worth of music on it .

Ok , think thats all the info i have

you need something other than itunes, i tunes will just want to format it as you cant use it to transfer music off an ipod onto a machine that didn't put it on there.

give this a go
